SCCC Administration Turns A Deaf Ear To Interpreter Training Program

When Brenda Aron checked her e-mail inbox shortly after arriving at work on the morning of Wednesday, June 15, she saw a message from David Underwood, written on behalf of S.C.C.C. President Paul Killpatrick.  It was not unusual for a professor to receive mail from the administration. It happened all the time.  Yet, as soon as she saw the words “Budget Reductions” printed on the subject line, her interest became immediately engaged.

She opened the message and began reading:

The Zombie Apocalypse hit Seattle July 2, 2011. During the warm bright Saturday afternoon, streets flooded with hundreds of people in full Zombie regalia. Makeup laden, and in full costumes, stumbling zombies contributed to a surreal spectacle. Over 4,522 participants took to the streets.
