SlutWalk Raises Awareness For Social Justice

Hundreds of men and women took to the streets in varying states of dress on Sunday June 19th, to demonstrate against the victim blaming and shaming common to rape cases. With pasties and picket signs, self-proclaimed “sluts” and “slut allies” made the Seattle SlutWalk one of the most popular events of its type currently sweeping the social consciousness of the globe. !!!NEWSFLASH!!! SEATTLE POLICE CHASE BURGLARY SUSPECT INTO SEATTLE CENTRAL

At 6pm, Seattle Police responded to a burglary in progress in the vicinity of 10th Ave E. and East Denny Way. The responding officer spotted the suspect, and a foot-chase through Cal Anderson park ensued. The suspect was able to outrun the officer, but not electronic communications. Squad cars caught up with the man as he ran southbound along Broadway, parallel to Seattle Central. The man then dashed into the school through the main entrance doors on the East side of the building, and officers, leaving their cars parked in the middle of Broadway, ran inside after the suspect. Driving a tractor is kind of like driving a fishing boat.  A fresh plowed field is like the sea.  Planting seed is like casting a net.  Harvest is harvest.  The captain of this green ship is Tom Bachmann.  He’s been farming over 20 years, and ran his own dairy before that.  Today, he’s planting.
