Turns out the new administration supports a student newspaper on this campus about as much as the old one. Which is not at all.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) presented at SCCC on January 20th about a UNICEF project which aims to provide water for hundreds of countries. A presentation by Vivian Sun, the Seattle City Coordinator of UNICEF, was followed by a screening of a documentary called ‘Flow: For Love of Water’ in Professor Greg Hinckley’s sociology class room E1110. The event was open to all SCCC students and staff.

Recently, the Vietnamese community hurried to prepare for a traditional celebration, which was called Lunar New Year. For the purpose of bringing the people, who for whatever reasons are not able to go back to Vietnam, a piece of the home country, the Vietnamese association in Seattle decided to organize an event that they named “Tet in Seattle”.
