Running Start: Is it Worth the Commute?

Zakuani of Seattle Sounders Speaks At SCCC

On Thursday January 20th, Steve Zakuani of the Seattle Sounders paid a visit to the SCCC campus.  He talked to students and staff about his life, his goals (on and off the soccer pitch,) and how his organization Kingdom Hope plays a part in all of it. “Through Kingdom Hope, I want to provide programs that challenge and inspire individuals to aim high, dream big, and achieve greatness.” Zakuani writes on his website, “Using soccer as a platform, Kingdom Hope’s wide array of programs and services are designed to help individuals become great achievers in all areas of life.”

Higher Tuition Leaves Students With Very Few Options For The Future

Money is almost always a concern for students and their families when making a decision on a college for their future education.
Tuition cost at Seattle Central Community College is quite low; International and out of state students pay about $7,900 per year, plus about $400 in fees; for a total of $8,300 in 2009. In state students paid about $2900 per year.
