When Brenda Aron checked her e-mail inbox shortly after arriving at work on the morning of Wednesday, June 15, she saw a message from David Underwood, written on behalf of S.C.C.C. President Paul Killpatrick. It was not unusual for a professor to receive mail from the administration. It happened all the time. Yet, as soon as she saw the words “Budget Reductions” printed on the subject line, her interest became immediately engaged.
